Public service announcement - Highball Graphics just released new boxcar decals:

USRA rebuilds:

This Jade Green scheme was used on rebuilt PS-1s and Bethlehem Steel 40-foot cars.

(consults LV Freight Car Guide) Yes, the brown cars date from the mid-60s and the green cars (USRE rebuilds) were rebuilt from 1969 to 1973.

IM has a 10'6" body style appropriate for the Bethlehem Steel cars, and the MT PS-1 will work with some ladder changes.  I'm not aware of a true 7-foot door, but the MT 8-foot version should work.  Rich Yourstone indicated that it sizes out somewhere between 7 and 8 feet wide.

So many projects, so little time!

Those paper cars are 50' footers. Somebody's gotta change that description and art diagram...

Good call on the paper cars A-hump, I'll let Highball know. 

There were two road number styles on the green USRE cars - large (9"?) numbers on early batches and smaller (7"?) on later rebuilds.  These new decals show the later style, but if your "home road" isn't LV, you shouldn't lose any sleep.
