This is the back side of the North East Corridor Bridge where the NEC crosses Bladensburg Road in DC.  The PRR lettering on the other side is still there, but even less visible.  I've been meaning to take this photo with my DSLR for a while, but a camera phone will do in a pinch.

Nice shot Bob.

I like the grass in the rails...  if a person where to model it, people would complain it looks to "clean" to be in the middle of the rails.

Proving once again (apologies to Ed who hates this phrase) There is a Prototype for Everything.

So... is that goose actually running on a timetable section with a second section following it, or did they just stick flags in to look cool?

I'm guessing the latter. At least if they had used white extra flags it would have been more appropriate.

I just figured the grass was helping CSX keep the rails and ties together.  As for Ed.  Aren't we all still looking for his prototype?

Best way to explain how it runs is to post a video from 2008 and I will soon have the 2009 online as well.  Let's get onboard and take a ride, then catch some Run-By action, and then take a Cab Ride all within the same video  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
