How do you build a bridge - The P&LE way

Here is how the P&LE rebuilt their bridge [they used the same piers as the old bridge] in 1964 over the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh [Homestead actually].  The bridge is still used today by the CSX.  The "Mon" River is and was a busy waterway with lots of barge traffic.  For years the Mon, along with the other two navigable rivers in Pittsburgh hauled more tonnage than the Panama Canal.  So here is how the P&LE built a bridge over this busy waterway.
