Shots from a morning at the Colorado Railroad Museum.  Starting with RGS Galloping Goose #7 (which we rode):

D&RGW C-28 #683:

Denver, Leadville & Gunnison narrow gauge 2-8-0:

Coulda used one of these last winter in Nebraska!

Lots of work to do at the roundhouse as seen from Goose #7 passing by:

I managed to add a day to my current oil spill rotation to do some railfanning in Baton Rouge.

First up are the two Watco (WAMX) switchers assigned to the Baton Rouge Southern.  #63 and 60 are switching the yard that BRS has created on the property that used to belong to UTLX which was the site of their service facility:

After they got done, KCS took the BRS turn back to the yard with this lash-up of 4 MP15's.  Can't wait to recreate this one:

So Dave,
When are you going to start on a Nn3 layout? ;)

It's just like an Atlas ad down there.

Although the KCS units look like 1500s to me, which I WISH would appear in an Atlas ad!

Alexandria, Va today.  Couldn't get in a proper position for the first shot and had to shot thru a wire fence in order to get the locos.

Ed, you are correct.  I should have had more coffee before posting - which would have allowed me to actually check my loco roster.

Got this postcard on e-bay:

It is the "Ohio Works", one of the many steel mills that was in Youngstown.
The mill at the very top of the photo is still there though and was just paid a visit by Obama because they are doing some $650 million expansion to make steel pipe.
This is just about the same area nowish:

In another life I modeled RGS in HOn3, believe it or not...!

Bob, those Amtrak shots make those Velveeta boxes actually look pretty good!  Maybe your best work to date!
