Forget it...doesn't matter what I say...try to be honest and that doesn't seem to be good enough.  I could be like other mfgs out there and ignore everyone, but I make the effort.  A mistake was made...simple as that.  If you want to deconstruct that and weave a mighty tale about the gross incompetence of everyone at MTL...go for it.  We try, we make mistakes and unless you clock in with me everyday I doubt you know what our proceedures are.

Now I'm going outside and pick some berries.

Looks like the wrong truck was called out in the work order.  Part of the problem with having all these options.

The problem is somebody called out the wrong truck on that work order, and nobody double checked to make sure it was correct... not the number of options available.

Negating it's not actually a 100T truck (that's been beaten to death)... you have all of ONE truck to use... with a short, medium or long extension... so all of three part numbers (1035, 1037 and 1038... or 041, 042, 044 under the new system)... I know this, and I don't even work for MT

Should have been the 1035....but that said, looking through the past releases there were a few that had the long box and they weren't SP Hydrocushion underframes.  Interesting...  Regardless...boo-boo on our part.

That said... you put the wrong coupler on those Evans 4780s too... which releases were they?   What's SP Hydra-cushion underframes got to do with anything?

in my civvies here.  I only represent my grandmothers home made Mac and Cheese on Railwire.

No offense... yes, everybody makes mistakes... but it's a continual ongoing thing with MT... and that's the crux of the issues people have. It's one thing to say 'oops... my bad'... it's another to try to figure out why it happened and then take steps so it doesn't happen again...

They launched it with the MKT two-pack... which actually were Evans 4780s... the SAL magor was next.

That's right, forgot about them.  My mistake.  I mostly remember my disappointment upon learning the SAL was bogus after I had bought it, since as with this PRR car it was advertised as an Evans prototype (as opposed to merely being advertised as a scheme on the Evans model).

The SAL, MILW and BN cars are all not Evans 4780s... the BN car should be a FMC 4700, which we already have in N.

I do think that manufacturers take too much offense to criticism that is, often, justified. I don't know about other consumers, but I don't have the means to buy a half-witted product just because it is offered in N, just to 'support' the manufacturers. It only breeds more half-witted products. We're too mature as a scale at this point for the ongoing foobiefest.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
