Rio Grande Engine

Sorry I don't have a picture, but yesterday I saw an older Rio Grande engine, pretty sure it was a Geep, pulling a consist of old gondola cars by our hangar yesterday. It was patched UP below the engineers window, but still had the black and orange scheme and the Rio Grande name across the side. I'll keep an eye out for it today and if I hear it rumbling outside I'll try and get a picture of it.

A pic would be cool Michael. The last DRGW that I saw was a patched GP60 running through Columbus NE a few years back.

My understanding is that it's been shopped and painted for uncle pete.

UP/DRGW GP40-2 #1445 was the local power here in Colorado Springs up until last year.

Ditto.  First custom paint I ever did was an A1G GP30 in Rio Grande.  Turned out pretty well, but ended up getting redone for B&O.  No surviving images...

Get a shot of her, Michael, before she's gone!
