Does it matter? A failure is a failure. We had many successful op sessions... then they suddenly "grew". Atlas did not argue the fact.

I still don't understand the "grew" part .. I know you said to have talked with a metalurgist ..but I would be interested in the scientific explanation .. just from a curiosity stand point ..

I see a heck of a lot of real talent on this forum -- with an equal amount of pettiness.

I love a good re-hash!  I don't think I ever heard the full story.

I was very sad to see the Eastern Region go...  I used to check the site regularly for updates.  Jerry was a big part of my decision to go N scale PRR.
