CSX Q137 heads west across Bridge 10 on the S&C in Hyndman, PA about to start up the east slope of Sand Patch grade in August 2002

This was quite common on the B&M towards the end of the B&M running commuter service. They were routinely hauled by S1/S3 and GP7's.
I WANNA SEE THE BOAT MOVIE!

Yes... I'm in N... Also HO and 1:1

So the RDC's prime movers ( thats a stretch ) were left to just supply heat and lights ?

A couple of shots from my collection.

One for the RDC theme. This is an interesting lashup.
The GP-38u is ex-CR GP40 3250; exx-PC; nee NYC.
The RDC-2 is exx-AMTK 34, ex-PC 80, nee-NYC M480, and was sold to Eagle Cove Camp & Conference Center, Inc., Tomahawk, WI in 2009.
There are no more RDCs on the active roster.

One for the  the cold winter theme.

Best wishes. Stay Warm. Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Got this from a Yahoo group I belong to.  Taken during the blizzard a few weeks ago.

And in the earlier years of MBTA commuter service (took it over from the B&M), they ran some of their trains with those same RDCs, gutted and hauled by F10s and F40PHs.

CN #8513 is an S13,  this is a move under "old work rules" where dead heading passenger consists had to be moved by switcher crews from the passenger terminal to the coach yard.

That is cool on so many levels.

Matched pair of wide-cab CN GP40-2s. 40' CN boxcars. CP switcher and wooden caboose. CN S13 moving some RDCs around.

Only the GP40-2s can still be seen today if you tried to retake that photo. (Yeah VIA still runs some RDCs, but not anywhere near where the photo was taken.)
