Some questions driving me nuts...
- I've found some photos of CSXT pulpwood cars similar to the Atlas model. They are converted for use in MOW Track panel service. However, they are holding track panels - with some room to spare - which means the decks must be more than 39' feet long (the length of a track panel). I am assuming that the Atlas model must be a foobie or did a CSX component bring along some longer cars - or were they stretched?
Also... I am coming up at a loss finding any photos of any CSXT or CSXT component railroad owning 54' GSC flatcars. This is pretty unbelievable... You would expect to find them in MOW service, but most of the cars you see tend to be either SIECO (or other mfg cars similar to the Walthers model) with cut down bulkheads or various riveted side cars that appear to be actually 50' long. Anyone know for sure?
thx...
