Milwaukee Doodlebug colors

I have a B-Mann motor car that I want to paint for Milwaukee Road service.
Searches have only turned up one color photo so I thought I'd seek expert advice here to see if I'm anywhere close.
Looking at B&W reference pics on the Don Ross site, I'm guessing the sides and ends are orange with a maroon letter board and a black roof. It also looks like the letterboard might be bordered with a thin black stripe?
Also wondering about the lettering.  Possibly gold or white?
Any input would be appreciated.

Here's a link to the reference pic:

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

There is a photo of  5937 in the Milwaukee Road Color Guide Volume 1. This is a different body style (no RPO),  just a baggage/express compartment and 12 windows in the passenger area. This photo isn't the best and the colors on the car have faded, but the lettering on the side (REA) is white. Not sure about THE MILWAUKEE ROAD part, but my guess is orange (like the passenger cars). The sides are a light orange (like a light reefer orange), the letterboard and window frames in the passenger area are maroon (which you can also see in your photo). It appears that the front of the car is a darker orange (like the diesel locos). I don' see a black stripe around the letterboard. The roof is a grimy black/grey.

Hope this helps.
Best wishes, Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Nice plow. You will be able to rip plywood with that thing!

Thanks for looking that up Dave
Yeah, I think I'll do #5937. There's a pic of that one on Don's site too. Now that I look at it, the model doesn't have the RPO section and the passenger section windows are close enough for me. The stock cow catcher can be used too which should avoid serious bodily injury by not modelling the plow on #5938.
Thanks again
