To "H" "E" double hockey sticks with taking a step back Tom (with all due respect)...

The model is excellent - Lee is 100% right - adding wire appliances would add costs that isn't necessary and would give you oversized looking ladders/grabs.

The weathering job is outstanding; the combination of the model and the weathering is museum quality; period.

The price point is the price point. Our so - called 'free market" allows someone to value their labour and goods wherever they want. I don't have to buy them if I don't want to; but I have no say in their price.

I have the right to say that I don't feel that a given product is any good; I have the right to say that I feel a product or service is overpriced; I have the right to make honest and forthright commentary on something that I have knowledge of.

What I SHOULD NOT have is the right to use another person or persons public forum to attack something or use suggestive language to belittle it. In the last century; when we had to put our name and face to our commentary it was called slander or libel... today it's called the internet.

I am not suggesting that our member in question was either libelous or slanderous; I am suggesting; however; that the English language; and all other written languages for that matter, are inexact; often misleading and the most dangerous thing on the planet, when one considers the potential for mis-interpretation and the reaction to said interpretation.

When it comes to the internet; the old adage "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all" is often a wise course of action. It's not a sign of "a mutual admiration society where diparaging words are not heard and where praise is so cheap that it is bandied about willy nilly." It's a nod to the fact that you can't use all the tools of verbal communication at your keyboard; and you risk a multi page thread about issues such as this if you choose to use this highly inexact form of communication.

You don't like the gon - ok; that's your right and I support you 100% - we will agree to disagree. You wanna try and express that fact - you're walking on a tightrope and it appears you took the plunge off it - too bad; I hate to see people do that to themselves; as I almost always assume they didn't really mean to say what they have been perceived to have said.... don't know if that's what happened here - only those involved do.

So; now can we talk about the gon ?
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

You know what, I think you will get orders if you run magazine ads. This is more of a high end item, but people will buy it. Heck if I could weather like that I'd never want to let the car go!

The first magazine ad appears in about a week when the Jan/Feb NSR hits the stands.  I think people will like the ad almost as much as they like the car!  8)

Is Tom's face photo shopped into one of the roller bearing journals?
