I'm not suggesting the kidney as a layout be spared, strip it to the bones, and use the door as the basis for your portable urban switching layout...

Nah, I wouldn't do that either, the thing deserves a place in the Kapuscinski Museum, or at least at a worthy friend's home.

Sentimental hogwash.  I'm getting ready to strip the Chaffee Branch, because it doesn't work in the new scheme.  At least not in its current configuration.  I need the foam and the track!

It's not even done.  Move on!

But then again, there's always Brian's growing layout museum there in Centreville... :D

Looks like another donation to the RockMuseum :)

Maybe... but I do have a potential owner lined up already, so we'll see.

In other news, I revised the brief on the NCR, in case anyone isn't familiar with my ramblings:

It just occurred to me that you'll need a control system... Any thoughts?

Much to your chagrin, probably Digitrax, just because I need to use it on my NTRAK stuff, and that's even better local compatibility than with the Delmarva power grid (ie, you and Brian).

I think I can handle it because, well, I am kinda familiar with systems engineering... kinda.

the RockMuseum has more in assets then did Route Rock!  hose down the doorr, cut a 67 degree angle across the top and bolt the sucker to the layout - it will be like a dock in the harbor of your family room - when's the baby due?  you better get the trackwork down before it arrives!

The kidney should become the Stewartstown Railroad.  That will give you an excuse for another 44-tonner.  And lots of weeds.

Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she’s uncool
Cause she's still preoccupied
