Thanks for the link. As to why, the results speak for themselves.  The eastern Moffat Tunnel portal is one of the more distinctive tunnel scenes. The terrain is also ideally suited for  model treatment with the flat foreground and hill sloping to the rear. 

IMHO the problem with the Moffat Line is that it is basically a bridge route with almost exclusively through traffic. It's a little dull w/re to operations. But the scenery is spectacular.

Anyone got the link for the non TB members?

Having not seen it yet, I will agree that every Rio Grande layout I have seen has been amazing. I even thought of doing it at one point!

Beautiful!  I remember seeing photos of this project in its early stages, and the results are outstanding.  Although this route would compete with my PRR's crossing to the south over Loveland Pass, it's still a wonderful scene.

I didn't know that anything else was "East" of the DRGW. ;D

The scenery, locomotive power, and the paint scheme just scream "model me". If you ever witnessed the DRGW live, it becomes a virus that won't go away.

Don't get me going on the beauty of the "Craig Branch". Heaven on earth.
