Chris,

Not sure what you are referring to.  The ventilators will have full detail, including the open/close levers, but it will be molded into the sides.  The ventilator detail is too fine to have them as separate parts.  The front face of the heater box also will have full detail, and all of the piping will be present.  I didn't want to get too anal with free standing detail because the primary paint schemes have extensive masking which adds to the price.  The design will be akin to the FVM Milwaukee boxcars with the crisp detail of the G26.  The heater/piping is a two-piece part separate from the floor.  There is rivet detail all over the sides and roof - including the ventilator hoods, the ventilator lever plates, and the ladder brackets.  The underframe has more detail than the G26 because it is visible from the sides.  And the coupler pockets are integrated into the body and underframe, as on the G26.

There should be test shots sometime in December if not sooner, and I'll post some photos whenever I have the test shots in hand.

Ventilators? maybe that is what I'm thinking of. On each side of the car there are 2 long slender boxes with a rod hanging down. I thought they were to activate the heater (I know the heater is under the car)

But good to know they will be there. I wanted to added them to my old Atlas car, but they looked like a lot of trouble to add (and paint red/white/blue)

Yup, those are the ventilators you're referring to.

Here's a treat for you guys, even though the real thing is eight months away.  Screen shots of the digital model.  The next pics will be of the actual test shots in December, most likely the body and underframe without the etchings.  The roof grabs are missing but will be on the production car.
