N Scale Coaling tower?

I have the small Heljan [Bachmann Plus] coaling tower, which is really pretty small. My yard has a 6-stall roundhouse to service locomotives from 2-8-0's to Challengers. I have water, sand, and diesel facilities as well as the coaling tower. I think I should have a larger coaling tower, but I just have two service tracks -- one to supply the coal, sand, and diesel, and the other for the locomotives on their way to the roundhouse. There is room to add a third track if necessary. Pictures of the Cornerstone concrete tower make it look pretty overwhelming for the rest of my facility. Is there a realistic wooden tower somewhere in between the concrete tower and the one I have?

The Walthers wood tower might do, but I can'f find a footprint of it in their catalogs back to 2004.  Show coming up next month, so I may be able to see one there.

Why not scratch build what you need?  A timber structure would be a fairly complex task, but not impossible.  Look at photos of towers you like, and do some rough sketches based on the real estate you have available.  If you're running those big fellas, you might want to do something like the the tower that stood at Maryland Jct. on the WM.  Here's a shot of it while it was being dismantled in the late 1950's:

The overall dimensions are listed, but not the footprint so I can check the track spacing.  However, I'm going ahead with it.  I'll change the track spacing, even though it is already ballasted and sceniced.  It looks like the right size for my application.

You might want to consider our N Scale concrete coaling tower. It's fairly compact.  It is designed to load engines on three tracks, but could be used with just two if necessary.  See http://www.alkemscalemodels.com  At my site you can download a pdf file with the instructions and a detailed set of drawings to see if it will work in your space.
