A tribute to Hal Carstens. Some photos of the Col Carstens Circus Train on my layout. I built this train in the 1970's after RMC magazine offered the Business car in HO ,but only Walthers decals in N. Flat cars are Trix, wagons are Arnold Rapido, resin cast Burt Industries. The live stock car is an Atlas Pig Palace car .Passenger cars are Rivarossi and AHM. Note the caboose on the train, real circus trains used a caboose from the reoad over which the train was operating . This train along with an Aspen Models 4-6-0 locomotive to pull it was featured in an issue of RMC. Nate Goodman (Nato).

Cool. I wanted to pick up the Walthers decals back then but never got around to it.

Note the track on this portion of my layout has not yet been ballasted.                                            Nate Goodman (Nato). This section is two six ft. former N quack (Trak) modules built by Kelly Newton, now incorporated into the layout.

Joe said if I'am correct in the recient MT Circus Train Thread that they had plans to do a complete train eventually, (red train?)(blue train?) but that those billboard box cars were first testing the waters for demand. I'am not going to hold my breath waiting for this especially if they do a car at a time not sets of cars. Nate Goodman (Nato).
