Can anyone tell me if any or all of the following ALCO locomotives share a common frame length and/or truck spacings?

RS11, C420, C424

Thanks

(edit: short answer is no, I'd trust Rob's data rather then this site)

Here's the prototype dimensions not sure about the Atlas/Walthers models...

RS11 - length at pilot: 52' 6"    - Truck centers 40' 04"
C420 - length at pilot: 51'       - Truck centers 43' 09"
C424 - length at pilot: 50' 01"  - Truck centers 41' 10"

RS11 is 52' 6" over pilots, with a 31' wheelbase

C420 is 54' 11" over pilots with a 34' 5" wheelbase

C424 is 56' 6" over pilots, with a 32' 6" wheelbase

Darn! I was hoping there would be some commonality there to put the guts from an Atlas RS11 or C420 under a LL C424. Also hoped to put the C420 chassis under a Hobbycraft RS18 with the nose chopped.

ALCO could have learned something from GM's one frame fits all Geeps in the 1966 line  :P

Thanks

Hmm... Ryan's figures looks more like wheelbase and Robbman's looks like truck centers...

I always use bolster to bolster as wheelbase, or more succintly, pivot point to pivot point.  Not all trucks are symetric, few six axles actually have the center axle directly under the bolster or pivot point, and then you have the railfan monikered 'AAR-B', which depending on traction motor, could have a 9' 4", 9' 6" or 9' 10" axle spacing (or even 8' 10" for the version used under some Canadian ALCos)...

Even on bolsterles trucks (radial or otherwise), the distance between pivot points is always called out...
