I find it interesting that the long train was already in motion when the video started .

I find it interesting that the 2 car train was used for stopped to start video .

Total loco weight would be of interest as well as running chassis weight .

I wonder how well this does compaired to the Walthers/Life-Like 0-8-0 ?

Well, I got mine yesterday. It comes with alternate "Buckeye" or dummy knuckle couplers as well as Rapidos, using the NEM snap-in draft gear design, so I rpleaced the Rapidos last night.

First measurements. Mind you the model is 1:148 and I am showing at 1:160

Driver Diameter: Actual .24" Scale 38.4", Wheelbase: Actual .94" Scale 12'6", Maximum width: Actual .57" Scale 7'9", Maximum ht. above rail (at stack): Actual .97" Scale 12'11". I couldn't decide where to measure length, but as you can see, its pretty damn small.

Here's a photo coupled to an InterMountain steel reefer:

The detailing and painting is incredible. Now as to how it operates. It does run slowly, throttling down to about 5 MPH on clean track. The track had to be bright boyed before it would run, though, but hadn't seen a train in months. It will pull or push four 40' house cars, three of which were reefers with two of those milk cars. Grades, curves, and frogs do cause wheel slip with four cars, though.

I think I have figured out how to get the shell off, but will leave that until tomorrow at least.

4 cars is ok but nothing great . To not jack rabbit is good . You said slip over turnouts with 4 cars which I can understand if a loco is pulling its max , but what about dead spots traversing turnouts , I would think it would almost have to have them ?

I use Micro-Engineering Code 70 on my permanent layout and there are no dead spots on them.
