I let my soon to be 4-year old play around with some Trainman stuff from time to time, using  an older LL GP18...

Other than that, I've just been stirring up some turd soup over on the A board ;D.

Pfft... wait till you critique someones writing skills over here and have them go eight shades of PMS on you.

I couldn't find any fault with what you said... there is simply no reason for pizza cutters in 2009.

Not surprisingly, I know a lot of people who will disagree with you.  What we don't need is a bunch of people who have ordained themselves as the wheel flange police.  How about we leave each to their own desires.  I'm sure that the market will exert its own preference in the way of demand and it will all work out in the end.  In the mean time its a hobby so let's enjoy.

the New Entry Level train set equipment

New? I always thought entry level sets were those Bachmann offered? Naudhubillah, if I ever have kids, they won't be getting MT to start with, not at those prices.

Lee, your right (oh the agony).  I'd be a fool to let a six-year old run ~$20 cars around the track.  I forgot that I purchased a large amount of MT trucks with pizza cutters at a show years back and put them on every car I had at the time- even the $3 "Industrial Rails" box cars....
Robb-  your son is almost 4 already?  Jeez, where does the time go?
