Old shell swap with new mechanism?

I remember this being discussed before, probably by Ron Bearden on the "A" bored(not meant as a typo!), but I don't remember the "outcome", as it's been quite a while. I do remember that putting the RSD12 trucks on a new "slow-speed" RS-11 chassis(with the more correct wheelbase) works. I just sold the last RSD4/5 at the shop last week or I'd try my old RS-11 shell on it for you. PS: I want Alligators!

IIRC the new RS-11 shell fits on the RSD4/5 chassis (You might have to remove a little of the chassis that goes under the battery boxes - can't remember exactly).
