What up!!!!

Finally got a moment to check in...Been in Yuma, AZ for three months. Set-up my
workbench and have my layout sections in my studio apartment. Haven't done much
work, new job is being rewarded with 12 hour days. There is a pretty cool club here.
No LHS's - Chuck this is the town for a FEATHER RIVER SOUTH. We have about 190k
population and it grows with Winter Visitors from Canada and the North, this time
of year. I am probably going to build a door layout or a small sectional around my
walls. Will keep you posted.

I feel your pain. My job is similar in that way.

Yeah, known as "Snow birds" in some parts of that state. ;D

I guess I have to spill the beans - we Canadians are actually invading you.......slowly; from the south, six months at a time...our current plan is to stop at the Mason-Dixon line...after that it's too cold..... and lest you be worried, we plan to give it all back to you every May......until we need it again in November......LOL

Truth be told, my mother is a snowbird and has come to love her American hosts/nerighbours..... they make her feel welcome every year.

Glad you're getting settled Chuck.... model away !

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

After that point, we'll be in a position to push in from both sides to take the north. :)

Sometimes I feel like a junkie going thru withdraws......AAAAAaaaaaaaa!! The Trains!!  The Trains!! Roll Eyes

I felt like that when I lived in Eureka, CA. The closest thing I got was rotting Geeps and the same abandoned freights cars for months on end left on the north end of the never-to-be-revived NWP. I made any excuse to head to its south end, or over the mountains to Redding or Sacto areas.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
