Delivery ca.Oktober 2008!

Coming in N scale, the machine Gleisstopfnevilier "Duomatic 07-32" by Plasser and Theurer

Due to a Herstellerwechels unfortunately the delivery was repeatedly postponed.

We apologize for the long wait and hope nevertheless that this model will meet your expectations!

(Seriously, who wouldn't take a break if they had a Herstellerwechel)

It's a "Rail Tamping Machine" or a tamper, and close enough to some that were/are used in the US.  Much of the MOW machines used around the world come from the US and Europe and are pretty similar.

The model is by Hobbytrain, who imports Kato into Europe - but it's NOT made by Kato. I think the delay was due to the original supplier - oddly named CONRAIL - no relation to our big blue friend - went bellyup.

  It  looks Wonderbar, I've always wanted something like this ,only grype why can't the Europeans loose those Rapido Couplers, even if they were concieved in Germany.                                                        Nate Goodman (Nato0. Salt Lake, Utah.

Nato - they also have the Fleischmann "Profi" couplers, which look almost as bad. A lot of Europeans use MTL couplers nowadays though.

One point, this thing - in the USA - would not have couplers - because if it did, it would need a locomotive engineer and a conductor. Equipment without couplers can be driven by a MOW employee. Sometimes they have an engineer pilot on board.

Take a look at the railgrinding trains - they may be 10-12 cars long, with a locomotive, but no couplers - and to the RR it's a "track car".
