Got a little free time this evening so I got some pics taken of my Z stuff.The lighting sucks in this room so they are not the greatest pics.

First pic is the GP9



Next up is the GP35



Now for some rolling stock











then there is this little fella,it is one of two large generators that came as a load for the flatcar



I also bought two turnouts (1 left,1 right) 1 package of straight track ,plus a loop of track (this stuff looks like minature KATO Uni-Track).I have not bothered to take pics of the track yet.

You know Robert is a NP guy and I surprised that a NP got produced without him ending up with it.

Good start. My only suggestion is to not think of it as Z and just think of it as a mini prototype.

I just got back from the NTS a few minutes ago. I do have 11 GP9's in NP now, but I plan on repainting a bunch of GP7's in NP, and Rob Kluz of Ztrack said that he seen samples of AZL's Torpedo Tube GP7's.


Nothing new for NP in Z at the show, however AZL announced a GP30, which means all the people that don't like the wider GP35',s now have a cool model coming. RDC's were also announced for next year. A bunch of high cube road names, and they showed the auto racks. Also they announced 28K Gal funnel flow tank cars, and a few other things. They also have a bunch of new brass like NYC and SP passenger strings.  MTL was showing the SD40-2, which looks good.

Bob Knight had brought bridge parts to fix my kit, and showed all kinds of neat stuff. The bay window caboose in N looked fantastic, with Z to follow. Lots of other Z Scale cabooses and other stuff coming from TrainCat. BLMA was there, but had no Z Scale, as well as Marklin without Z.

Out of the whole NTS, all scales, Z Scale modules took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and Brad of Z Central Station won the Pizzaz award for his volcano module.

I had a great time, as did all in attendance.

Robert,
your care package showed up safe and sound "Thank You".Now all I need to do is figure out what I can trade you for it.

Somehow that widehood on the MTL locomotives just doesn't bother me at all.Rolling down the rails I seriously doubt many people will notice it anyway.

I like the AZL boxcars and hope to get some,but I have no need for 4 of a kind.It sure would be nice if some enterprizing dealer were to break up the sets and sell single cars.

My favorite freightcars are covered hoppers and I think Z needs a lot more of them (I have several hundred in N scale and am still buying  ;D)

Sure would be nice if ATLAS got into Z .
