What to do with all the N scale jewel cases?

It's move time again...  This time the Air Force is sending me to Nebraska.

Anway, I have dozens and dozens of N scale jewel cases, some for locos and some for cars.  I have absolutely no idea how many nor do I wish to inventory them.  But I don't want to move with them.  I have a nice padded foam case that can fit nearly my entire roster.

What should I do with them?  I mean besides the obvious (i.e., "shove 'em up your...  nose.").

Just about every hobby store I go into sells the things individually, so there must be some sort of market for 'em.  And some stores probably use some for sticking consignment cars into.  If you're not interested in Ebaying them (you'd probably have to break them up, as the market for dozens all at once would be pretty small) you might see if a local LHS might want 'em for a modest amount.

Jeez, I buy the things by the ten-pack! (Ask Chuck.) I put stuff that does NOT come in a Kadee or Atlas compatible jewel box into one. Same with built kits and scratchbuilt stuff.

What do you want for what you've got? Need a couple of boxes to hold steam locomotives and tenders, too.

Is Doug Hickman still putting want ads for cases in the NSC Mag?? If so, you could sell them to him.

Greg, I PM'd you.  Since you're the first to express interest, you get first dibs.

If this needs to move to the TradingPost, no problem.

I put them in a footlocker .. with instructions to my son that when I die, to put everything back in the box and sell it on EBay with the "Look - Rare - Original box" after he puts a shrink wrap back on them. I wonder if he will remember to remove the gunk from the MT wheels :)

Store freight cars?  I though that's what a yard was for!!
I still have a bunch of mine, probably over 100 of them.  Mostly they get used for mixing paint or holding water when I'm decaling something.  They're nice to have around for those occasions when I sell something.
