Survey says.... X. Oh, I'm sorry... I like the reviews mixed in with everything. Besides, IMO a review would be one that is calmly and methodically approached, and fair to both the positives and negatives of a product. Since that separates out the rants by default, they'd just end up in the catch-all bin main category for the special needs kids to have fun with. Okay, everyone got their helmets on? Let's rock.

Jason makes a good point, in that interesting threads could be posted off somewhere once they've run their course.  Product reviews, Z-scale (if it's ended up in here), train show reports, SNFF for example could be hoofed off to other places making them easier to find later?

I agree with everyone who is saying to keep it centralized.

Personally, I'd like to see everything combined into one big forum... but that's a different topic to debate.

Having managed some very, very large forums, I would agree with Ed - keep it simple stupid.

N-scale isn't big enough to break everything into little forums. Maybe from an archive standpoint some of the "best of Railwire" contained in a central top thread or in a given archive forum area would be useful. Otherwise I tend to lean towards keeping everything in one forum - less to miss, more chances of better discussions with more people chiming in and a central cohesion to group and discussions.

Just my humble two cents. Keep up the good work!

There is another forum that I enjoy going to on occasion that is divided into too many sub-forums.  It actually takes a good deal of time to click around into each sub-forum.  Having everything n scale related in one list is way, way easier for browsing.  As others have said, as volume increases, subdivisions make sense. 

But having a groundfoam-encrusted fantasy-weathered n scale locomotive could technically go into three different forums. And four if you differentiate between fantasy and prototypical weathering. ;D
