Help: Kato BN SD70MACs

I picked up a Kato BN SD70MAC - and of course it has a slightly mangled engineers side handrail - more mangled than I can leave alone...

I went to the Kato site and I don't see a part for the BN handrail - but there are two BNSF - mid and late production. Are either of them right for BN?  Note the difference seems to be in the box behind the fireman's cab side.

Which BN SD70MAC do you own and I'll compare it to my BNSF SD70MAC's.  I have all of the BN and BNSF executive paint scheme engines and can let you know which one is the right one.

This was harder then I thought.  I checked the parts list that came with my 9580 but the number on there didn't match anything on Kato's site.  Now I did compare 9580 to 9776 which uses part number 922177 and is different then 9580.  So I checked 9581 which was part of the second run of the BN SD70MAC's in the executive scheme and the handrails are the same but the parts list shows part number 922179 which does appear on Kato's site.  So it looks like for some strange reason they changed part numbers between runs.  You will need part number 922179 SD70MAC Handrail Set, BNSF Green (Mid-Phase Version), which is lucky since it shows in stock while the late-phase it out of stock.

I wonder if the reason the part # changed in the second run is that the original had some sort of technical problem?

I noticed that almost all of the SD70MACs have engineers rails that bend inwards slightly - and some of the BN models have other railing issues. Otherwise fantastic locos!
