UPS Brown, or Pullman Brown, or what to mix to get it?

I have some 'deliver' vans that I'd like to paint in UPS brown. Of course, since UPS had a trademark on that color, nobody makes paint with that name (nor decals).

But with all the modelers that are out there, surely someone has mixed up a brown to match the UPS color, no?

I think some leather brown with a little black mixed in ..

Just see if this someone can just grab you a bucket of paint and then it can be passed around.

For that matter, a picture of a truck with an older logo (not the new shield) would be good too, along with trailer for TOFC would be nice.

I tried Googling for pictures, but couldn't find anything.

Isn't there a site by someone that has tons of trucking pictures? I'd think that might be a good place but I can't remember the name of the site that had all of them.

You can get automotive touch-up paint for Dodge Sprinters in "UPS Brown", or if you can find an Oct. 2000 issue of Model Railroader there is an article about Pullman Brown in the "Ask paint shop" column that may give the answer

Ok, all of you folks out there with collections of MR. Is there a paint mixture in that issue?

If you spray acrylics, give ModelFlex "Illinois Central Brown" a try.

From Oct 2000 MR:

They are talking about "Pullman Brown", before 1900 all Pullmans were brown, after they were dark olive green or "Pullman Green" or "Brewster Green".

It says the Brown color looked like chocolate brown with some light Grey and they recommended Modelflex IC Brown.

Don't really think it is what your looking for...
