Atlas DCC Ready RS11

Has anyone purchased one of these? If so, how are they running wise? Any issues? I was going to update an older thread that asked this and a notice popped up telling me to consider starting a new thread, so I am. The place I usually order from has them in stock but they don't seem to be moving. Lately my Atlas purchases seem to be hit or miss.
Thanks Ralph

I have 4 of these, post-2016 production.  They run flawlessly.

I reserved one of the DCC-Sound versions, but those have not hit the shelves yet.

I wonder if it will use the new RS-3 chassis with those poorly rendered truck sideframes.

I appreciate the repllies. Kinda wondering what new chassis they are using and as far as those truck side frames, I wish Atlas would post some photos of the finished product instead of just drawings.
Thanks again,
Ralph

Ralph, were you wanting to find out about the DCC ready version or the current DCC sound ready version?   Jim Mast on Facebook posted a review on the newer DCC sound ready RS11 which made me a bit wary of purchasing one as there appears to be no phosphor bronze strips or wires to the truck pickups (just a GP15 style pickup)

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CgmNLbN9i/?

There are a few photos posted in the comments of the chassis.  I had requested a photo of the chassis without the fuel tank cover (to see if there were still slots to add phosphor bronze strips) but no response.

Side frames are pictured at the Facebook link in a post above this comment. Thoughts?

I don't do FB and the gripe is that the coil springs are represented by simple cylindrical shapes, and the truck details in general have a rather shallow relief.

Sorry I didn’t realise that before I posted the link.
I’ll attached the photos from the FB post but please note they are from Jim Mast, they are not my photos.

Allan,
Thanks for the photos! That does tell me what kind of chassis these have. And it does look similar to the GP15s. Appreciate your help!

Yes, this is the older chassis design and older trucks.  The new (c. 2024) RS-3 mechanism is a total redesign of chassis and trucks as shown in https://spookshow.net/loco/kators3.html
