I ran across these two releases in a BLI email today and wondered if anyone knew these guys?

“Also included in this announcement are two exclusive business cars with Hyce Trains and Hyacinth models. We previously built these models in HO and Hyce and the gang are bringing them to N scale!

To pre-order the “Hyacinth” business car, click here.
To pre-order the “Fair Lane” business car, click here.”

Hyce/Mark has a large following among young railfans.  His 101 videos are well done.  But he does bring a youthful point of view that some of us older folk might find odd.   Over the course of the past several years, I've shared many, many hours with my gen-z son watching Hyce vids helping us form a common bond that has spanned 1:1 trains to N-scale.

I sent the kiddo the link to the ES&D car.  He popped down from playing video games with his buds about 45 seconds later saying he had pre-ordered.

I take it these are fantasy cars.

I couldn't find the "Fair Lane", but here's the "Hyacinth" https://store.hycetrains.com/products/pre-order-east-salida-denver-business-car-hyacinth-n-scale

Seems like a nice guy - I meant to send him a correction to one of his vids a while back, but then I got busy. :D

"Fair Lane" is a SSW car - https://hyacinthmodels.com/products/pre-order-cotton-belt-business-car-fair-lane-n-scale. The "Hyacinth" is indeed fictional, for Mark's ES&D (East Salida and Denver).

Mark and Leighton work together on a lot of things, so typically the Hyce stuff and the Hyacinth Models (Leighton and another's brand) are marketed and produced together from what I've seen.

"Fair Lane" is a SSW car

Thanks! Apparently, the car was originally built for Henry Ford, and sold to the SSW in 1942. SSW donated the car in 1972. It bounced around a bit, but now is at the "Henry Ford".

Hyacinth models is Leighton's prototypicalish custom run company..
-- I think he is working with 3rd and Townsend to produce the Shivano in HOn3
https://hyacinthmodels.com/

Hyce models is Leighton and Mark's brand for ES&DT models..
It turns out you can get black confetti in the shape of d'cks...
