Bowser N scale PRR N5 and N5C cabin cars (cabooses)

Has anyone spoken to Bowser lately? It seems their Pennsy N5 and N5C cabin cars have become scarce.

I have a few, but one of my cabins turned out to be damaged...a chunk missing from the roof (looks like fall damage). I ended up setting aside for parts. That leaves me with 2 N5s and and N5C correct for my era. I do have a plain keystone N5 that I may hang onto if I ever do a 1960s Pennsy consist.

I'd love a late 40s N5C for Pittsburgh or Eastern Region. I have a healthy stash of Gold Medal Models trainphone antennas, so that's not an issue. I reached out to Bowser to see if they plan another run...I hope to hear back soon.

I agree that these cabins are "ripe" for a new run, but they currently seem to be occupied with trying to get their new N scale tooling out the door (100 ton H11a-e hoppers and 70T covered hops).

I'm certain all delays are due to work on the C630M/M630/M636's they teased in 2024.

Not trying to start a scale war, but they seem to really getting new runs/new tooling for HO locomotives out the door pretty regularly right now (I get their emails for new announcement)- if I had to guess, the margins on HO DCC Sound locomotives are a lot better than N scale freight cars and they are allocating their time/resources accordingly.

I say this as someone who could really use several of their announced 70 Ton covered hoppers, but I don't expect them terribly soon.

Might be an opportunity for a company such as BLI, Bluford or Atlas to consider producing these models.

Aren't the porthole windows too large also?  And yeah, the ride height on the more recent runs is ridiculous.  I have more N5 and N5C than I'll ever need.  I need to take an inventory and see what I have.  I have a bunch of Pennsy stuff and have been considering selling some of it off.

I have an N5 lettered for the immediate postwar period and  Eastern Region coming now, so that's good. I think I'm OK for a short while anyway. Thanks!
