I received a new BLI PRR M1, and I have a couple of notes to report. First, the pulling power of the new run is stronger than from the 2015 run. In comparing my new M1 from my M1 from the first run, I can tell the new one is weighted slightly differently. There is more weight I believe further to the rear of the firebox over the tranction tire driver. I suspect that is the reason why pulling power is stronger. I can easily pull 45 cars no problem around my layout.
Second, the only downside I have found is the tender coupler height is much too high. The tender kept uncoupling from MT cars. I think I will swap out the stock coupler for an MT1015 with shims.
Overall, this is an outstanding model that operates really smoothly and pulls like crazy.
