Cumberland Train Show, May 2, 9 am to 2 pm

At the Allegany County Fairgrounds, just south of Exit 42 from I-68 a bit west of town.

If there are some T Trakkers up for a quick set up, we'd be the only operating layout at the show (other than the Newport and Rock Falls, which will be at my table.)  If there's interest, let me know and I'll see about reserving a spot.  If you have a pile of stuff to sell, tables are cheap enough... $15 for one, $25 for two.

Despite the short hours of the show, there's plenty of reason to make the trip from the DMV.
  • The WMSR should be operating that weekend, with either 1309, or one of their handsomely done WM foobie diesels.
  • The CSX mainline to Grafton is right outside the fairgrounds.
  • The MD-WV Model Railroad Assn. is hosting the show, and their fantastic layout will be open for your viewing pleasure just across the parking lot.
  • On the way back, you can layover here at the Possum Lodge, smoke a cigar by the fire ring, and raise a toast to the trains on the Magnolia Cutoff you can hear from my porch.
  • There's plenty of couches, and 13 acres of woods if you prefer a tent.
  • I can even arrange a few things around the basement and set up tables for a TTrak play group.
  • And most importantly, it's my birthday weekend, Rho will be in Greece with her mom taking care of some real estate business, and if I don't have something fun to do I'll just sit around the house staring at the wall.

Looks like this show is the same weekend as the one in New Jersey...
