So as many of you know I operate a number of Anycubic Resin printers here at work and at home. Love the process, but am always struggling with keeping thin parts flat. I've tried a number of different set ups, resins and settings and over time there's some creep. I picked up a Bambu P1S FDM a few weeks ago and have been on a learning curve with that. I got in primarily to print helmets and Prop laser pistols and print some of my projects life-size. What I found was a great machine that prints flat and did a bunch of flat cars for friends in my club. I'm currently working on N scale Milwaukee rib side boxcars that handled veneer service. I drew up the basic boxcar and added the poles blocking the door. I was having trouble with making underframes and the past and was resigned to use some of the excess MTL stock for them. This turned out to be a great way to customize cars to be more prototypical using FDM as a starting place. Its also getting time on the layout printing bridge parts and other stuff. Love the tech.
