My local NMRA Division has setup for our annual display at the mall in my town. This year we had 3 layouts running for Black Friday.  We are open for display Friday afternoons / evenings and all day on Saturdays.




These preparations have slowed down my modeling a bit, but I did complete the bridge deck for the DL&W main at Bath NY. (The superstructure will take many more weeks.) Here it is temporarily installed on its abutments and center pier. I have built up and painted the riverbed and adjacent landforms. Once the sealant at the layout edge fully cures I can 'pour' the river. 




I need to get this done, the deck permanently installed and track in place over it by mid-January, as I am hosting our monthly meeting then.   :scared:

Impressive work as always. Nothing much for me this week, but it did manage to slap some paint on a piece of wood and remount my DCC zone booster and a couple of Tony’s PS XX circuit breakers for the lower level and the someday upper level of the new layout. … oh, and I took my nine month old granddaughter to see Santa.  🧑‍🎄

That is what I did for decades. Now I just use the milling machine. Same principle though — slow table speeds for plastic, slow RPMs.

I ginned this up a few months ago for the fictitious regional carrier I keep around for Rule 1 purposes so I can have a fleet of U36Bs

That’s a cool logo you made up- perfectly appropriate for the modern era that you run. (EDIT: I just noticed that AI spelled Navigation with three “i’s”, though.)

Oh, and who needs a reason for a fleet of U36Bs!? I have four U36Bs and a plethora of other U- and B-boats in my fleet. 😜
