HW Combine

Months ago I designed a "copycat" of the MTL paired window coach. So far so good, but making just a copy wasn't the real goal. I wanted Heavyweight car versions that are missing in the current offer. A combine was top on the list. I "cut" the HW coach in the middle and added a baggage section as the second half.

On the baggage end, the car has (like most but not all prototypes) a shorter overhang over the truck, as the platform is missing. So the combine is shorter about one platform length then the coach.

For the moment, I play around with this combine version having an equal part of coach and baggage. But I can easily add more space to one section or the other, or even make a triple combine with a Mail section.

The car is made in my usual "no nonsense" fashion: no rivets, no handrails, no superdetails, printed with PLA filament. This allows to skip the painful paint job and print directly the color schemes, like the Lackawanna car below.
