Lokprogrammer software is doing my head in

So the wife was out today and I thought I’d finally try some speed matching.  I have some current release Atlas GP38s with 58741 decoders, scale trains GP30s with 58925 decoders, and an older atlas B23-7 (pre slow speed motor) that I installed a 58823 decoder.
Previously I have used the lokprogrammer to upload sound schemes to the decoders, and also try turning on the leds in the older 73100 decoder, but had not really tried changing CV’s.
I updated the lokprogrammer software.  Then I tried changing the CV using the read/write tab as per the below screen, hitting the write CV button (and also the write CV button in the toolbar up top).  But then when I get the Lok programmer to read the CV (to make sure it updated) it kept showing the previous value.

I kept checking CV 15 & 16 to see if decoder locked but both had the same value.

Took me a while but I finally worked out I had to select the decoder tab on the right hand side, and go to the manual CV input screen.  The update the CV in the line, and hit the write CV button on the toolbar.  Then checking the CV updated in the read/write tab and the updated CV remained.  Though you think the read/write tab would do the same thing.  Anyone else come across the same issue?

In the end I was able to speed match the B23-7 to close to the GP38s.  The GP30 is still a work in progress.

Yes, that read/write CV page seems to only be a way to test CV changes but doesn't make the changes permanent. I also make CV changes in the change decoder settings/manual CV input page.
