4180 AIRSLIDE COVERED HOPPERS – BNSF



Buffer Service cars. Buffer cars are positioned between the tail locomotive and tanks cars as a safety precaution. These cars are in use today and can be found running the rails across the US. These cars represent former Burlington Northern Airslide hoppers with patched road numbers.

AZL is including optional NO-SWAY ™ bolster pins with each set. Due to the high amount of detail on the undercarriage, the cars may sway slightly. By replacing one bolster on each car with the NO-SWAY ™ pin, the sway will be eliminated.

Trinity 31K Gallon Modified Tank Car ....  These cars are without the shield ends.

Uhhh..  doesn't that mean they are not modified...?

I know you're just busting chops there, but yes that is a typo as compared to their prior releases of "Modified" cars that all had the shields.

This one was a cool release for me since the Modified tanks are too new.  And the BNSF (soon to be backdated to BN spartan scheme) Airslides are greatness too.
