I finished up 10 seat wagons for my late 1940's RBBB circus train. They were designed by Art Concello for the show and two of them barely fit on a 72' flat car.

When Ringling was using their 5 pole big top in the late 1940's, 18 of these wagons were carried for reserved seats while 8 wagons were carried for general admission seating.

The models are 3D prints.

Got a couple weathering projects done this weekend during all the rain; they’re a bit heavier on the overall rust than I initially wanted, but not implausibly so. The big rust streaks are matched to a couple hoppers I got photos of when I worked at Prysmian, so those are prototypical. The other sides aren’t quite as good but they’ll be the backdrop sides! I did find a good method for representing light surface rust I’ll use on a couple more; the rest of the fleet won’t be as heavy as these. I will probably get a couple boxcars and one of my fertilizer hoppers done throughout this week as well.

I’ll need to tack the end of this walkway down.

I wish this streak over the number had come out a little lighter, but there’s so much room on the cars in HO I’m finding it tougher to get used to how much I can build in layers; I’m getting better one car at a time though!

Matching colours at the Illinois Railway Museum, with my 3D printed paint chips of special 3D filament. The challenge is matching US Railroad and Traction colours with the German/European RAL colour system. They are matching astonishing well!
