SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America series

Only certain volumes of this series are currently available as new copies. I heard a comment that the original publisher ceased operation and sold the remaining copies to the companies who now offer them for sale. Does anyone know if there is any chance of the out-of-stock volumes being reprinted?

I don’t know the answer to your original question, but those ebay prices…what a joke. $200?! Come on! They were slow sellers at normal prices when new!
I’ve had good luck finding out of print RR books on AbeBooks. There are a bunch of the Atlases listed there now at rational prices. Abe is used by a lot of used book stores and thrift/consignment type stores. Avoids the “unrelated eBay search result” problem.
White River was selling them after SPV ceased publication. I don’t see any left there now.

I think the price may be driven by collectors given that this exists: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenRailwayMap

Thanks to all who replied. I did secure a beat-up copy of the hard to find (pricey) North East USA volume from eBay for an affordable price.

An excellent resource, but doesn't show abandoned trackage or previous ownership. The SPV atlas' have their place as research tools. As do the various historic volumes produced over the years.
