Kathy Millatt had a great video on making a rain scene diorama using AK still water and a gloss plastic coat.  It doesn't appear until the 24 minute mark in her video, but the effects are impressive.

Google “Brooklyn at 3am” and “Prof Klyzlr” to see articles and pics of an HO micro switching layout set at 41st Street and 2nd Avenue in Brooklyn NY at 3:00 am just after a rain storm. The layout features many wet and lighting effects.

Thanks for the ideas and links everyone!  Turns out I have that Kalmbach/MR book. And those are some great videos. Putting a wet gondola on a siding is a great idea. Would really add to the effect.

Just out of curiosity's sake, how would a modeler do an N-scale gon with water in it that eliminates the big meniscus that forms when using resin????
