Yes, the wheels are not optimal. The wheel itself seems to have fairly shallow depth (compare to Trainworx) and the tread pattern on the sidewall is rather coarse.  But I guess those are not deal breakers.

I have given up trying to figure out Eve Model. They have some tooling that looks like Bachmann on the surface, but isn't - the mold lines are wrong and the tooling is softer in general. They have some HO switchers - including one that looks sort-of like an Athearn Hustler, but isn't. Their containers were traced to other importers. Their trucks and couplers are entirely unique (and awful). I honestly don't know what's up with the company.

Are they an ODM? OEM? An overly ambitious high school student commandeering the technical school's CinC machine? No idea.

It just seems to be a Chinese firm selling direct. Lot of importers will just pick from a catalogue on less important stuff if they need to bridge releases. Like Atlas and RIM selling identical evemodel light poles.

Has anyone gotten any of the evemodel containers? Wondering how they are.

I ordered 8 of the (horizontal) ribbed-side trailers.  4 in unlettered blue, 2 in silver, and 2 in the NKP silver scheme just to see how the lettering really is.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I've ordered a number of the 20 foot containers... they are well made and decorated. The CAST containers are very accurate and haven't been made by anyone else in recent N (except deluxe back in the 90s)

I bought a bunch. They are on par with JTC - many of them are actually the same tooling. Paint is excellent, but there are no separate numbers. Many of the magnets were installed backwards and need to be popped out and reoriented to work with JTC, Kato, etc.

Same tooling? What would be the arrangement there?
