Sander options

Does anyone know of a modeling size disc sander that has a bevel table that allows you to cut accurate 45 degree angle ends to make realistic building corner joints? I’d like to be able to accurately meet masonry building corners. Wood too actually, since not all wood buildings have corner post designs.

Since Menards is a regional, don't know offhand if HD or Lowes has an equivalent. The most frequent use mine gets is for smoothing cork roadbed bevels.

Ed, I don't believe the Ultimation sander would do what the OP wants since its table doesn't tilt up or down.

They have been doing this for years with lots of tools and other supplies. I guess they get the extra money for finding off-the-shelf items and making them easily available them modelers and hobbyists.  Back before the Internet, this was a valuable service worth the extra money, but nowadays you can find many of their offerings elsewhere at much lower prices.

I figure Micro-mark isn't any worse than the companies that buy small screws in bulk for 2 cents each, and package them in packs of 6 for $6 for sale to hobbyists.  That said, I have found that I can generally find anything sold my Micro-mark at a lower price somewhere else, or a much higher quality item for the same price.

Yup...  If you see something you like in the Micro Mark line, look on Amazon for it.  Odds are really good you'll find it there and at a significant price reduction..

I have that tool...  It ranks as my #1 manual hand tool in my shop.  It's not cheap, especially with the Tariff situation, but if the Tariffs go bye-bye in the future, buy one.  You won't regret it!

It doesn't have a tilting table, but it does have a slick horizontal protractor.  You can make up for the lack of tilt with some ingenuity, cobbling up a simple fixture.
