Too long MTL Boxcar frame

I had the same problem with all of my MTL 40' red GM&O cars several years ago; so it's not a new problem: just reoccurring.

Is there a specific car type this happens with? 40', 50', PS-1, ARA, woodside, shorty hi-cubes, X-29s, steel reefers, whatever? I can guess there's no specific road names because the shells run in batches but frames the same. I haven't run into this in 60+ years of owning MTL stuff.
