Any of you fine gentlemen going to NMRA national convention at the Gaylord resort/convention center located in a Grapevine, Tx?

I heard from a source that the free-moN layout during the week will be holding op sessions 3 times a day for Mon,Tue,Wed,Thur. TT&TO along with JMRI ops switch list on one part of the layout.

I live here, yes its hot,,but you grow accustomed to it. Plus I work outside in it.  Try working on the layout in garage in the heat, thank god for fans.

I’ll be at the train show as well.  The AC will be cranked on inside the show.

109 degrees outside and 72 in

Way to jinx the Gaylord HVAC system, Mike!   I was planning to go on Saturday, but now I'm not so sure...    :RUEffinKiddingMe: :D

I'm looking forward to the show.   I'm going out there today to help with the Free-MoN setup but otherwise I'm not participating in the convention.

I'm in  Fort Worth (Saginaw) so I want to go to the train show over the weekend.

If any SPF's want to work out a schedule to "educate" the BLI guys in attendance about how they need to make certain steam locos then let me know.

Can't make the show but my big desires are PRR I1 and  PRR H8, H9 and H10 classes.

The opening reception was very nice. Well done NMRA.  I am lucky that I have been to Scotland enough to understand most of Gordy's opening remarks with his natural Scottish Brogue.   Actually, it was much easier to understand than all the caddies I have had in Scotland, who tend to get gruffer and harder to understand as they understand that I really ain't much of a golfer.  They maintain that until they realize it doesn't affect their tip.......

The convention was great.. The NTS seemed smaller than others I have been to.
