NSE shared a video on FB of Kato's, sounds like officially next month they are doing Amtrak E8s, the black and blue day one and bloody nose units. Also doing a bookcase of rainbow cars. Later this year they are adding to the viewliner cars.

Let's hope they're referring the rainbow cars of the early Amtrak era?   :scared:

Interesting about Kato. I've been wondering what the next new tooling might be now that the Big Boy is finally out there.

Cool about the early Amtrak stuff though - wonder if it will be a different "rainbow" assortment compared to the previous one.

Very cool that Kato is doing the Viewliner II diner, sleeper and baggage dorm.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Just got back from the convention and unloaded the Free-moN modules. Talked to Paul (Atlas), Shane (ST), Matt (ST-FVM), Chris (ST), Steve and Stan (JTC), Peter (NSK) and many others. I have some photos of the new stuff to download.

I saw on a FaceBook post that IMRC showed it's sound equipped F7's.  I see by their status page (Updated June 13th) that portions of the run are in transit and some are in production.  Hopefully this keeps up.

Oops.  Never mind...  Now I see it was the Rocky Mountain Train Show, not the N-Scale Convention.

JTC had pre-production samples of their new Hino XL truck on display.

This one has the "stock" Hino grille.

And this one has the International grille, so that it can be used as a stand-in for an early 2000s truck.

Edit:  The International 8600 (ProStar) seems to be the truck the stand-in model best represents, which dates back to 2005 or 2006.  However, the model could also be used as a stand-in for some of the International 7000 series trucks.  Hino introduced the Class 8 XL (the prototype for the model) in 2019.

Got to hold this excellent JTC 60ft container flat. Looking forward to it and the other stuff Steve and Stan are working on including weathered well cars!
