best o scale PRR S1. MTH or Lionel ?

Just would like to hear which do you think is better and personally I'm going for looks and accuracy over performance since it would be a shelf queen 363 days a year.  That's right, I only break out the O scale at Christmas for two days when I run dad's 1938 226E.

Neither of these reviews shed much light on which is the more accurate model.
A European-style head-to-head review comparing the models taken at the same angles and prototype pictures as close as possible would be much better.   The reviewer comments could be limited to mechanical, electrical and othe model performance features and let the reader draw their own conclusions for fidelity from the photographic evidence.  Table of prototype vs. model key dimensions would be pretty much all the additional text needed.
Most reviews have to walk the line between providing reader/consumer information without treading on advertising revenue.  With direct comparison of products with little or no subjective content the poorer product can only be credited to the manufacturer%u2026not blaming a bad review.    It isn%u2019t easy for the consumer to do this kind of research on their own%u2026.finding the same engine or car with prototype materials is beyond most.   There are some posts here and elsewhere that do this but not to the objective ideal I mention.   
The recent trend of %u201Cunboxing reveals%u201D is about as useful as a screen door in a submarine%u2026.

Your quotes are messed up again.  Did you get my PM about disabling smart quotes back on August 28?

This is a "test".   The articles both referenced turning off smart quotes but that doesn't exist.  I wish techies would pay attention to match their instructions with the thing or software they are trying to reference!   The 2nd article at least referenced the Keyboad settings on the iPad or iPhone rather than a nebulous "app".   The proper setting to turn off is "Smart Punctuation".
We'll see if it works!

It works!   I tried still using the swipe feature to get the upper character without shifting and it works as well.  Thanks!

As a further comment-  this problem and solution is because Apple doesn't always play well with PC apps.  This specifically applied to posting using iPad or iPhone.

I'm glad you sorted that out Charlie,.  As for things like computer programs,  apps, instructions, etc. it seems that there is no hope for accuracy.  Nobody seems to be fastidious anymore. So many things are half-a$$ed, it isn't funny.
