Saw these for the first time in person today.

They're really nice. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

I am so impressed with these that I emailed Aurora and asked them to consider some 1970s era 60' hi cubes.  8)

I just happened to notice on Facebook (which I rarely visit) that Aurora has announced a second run of these cars, since the first run was such a hit for them.  They don't take pre-orders, so those of you who missed out on FXE the first time around: keep an eye out in July (2025!).

They also announced a 2nd model: a Greenbrier 6726 cf Plate F 50' boxcar, presumably FBOX and other roads.  These will complement and somewhat supersede the ExactRail Trinity FBOX.  Due in late 2025.  Test shots are posted:

Completely missed out on the first run due to bad timing. I'm expecting 4 locos from BLI next month, so I won't get as many of the boxcars as I "need."

I’ve got some of their 50’ boxcars in HO and they’re a great pair with the ExactRail cars (and Prairie Shadows), as the sides are pretty different from the other designs. Gives that perfect bit of variation to make it all work

The combination x panel / diagonal panel roof is interesting.
