Better than the real thing: Nuyi Chinesium Scotchlocks

I'm a big fan of IDCs (Insulation Displacement Connectors) commonly referred to as Scotchlocks.

I've had bad luck with some knock offs before, but have ended up really liking these:

Not only are they perfectly fine in most regards, but the cheapness if the molding actually holds one key advantage.

With the genuine article the smaller wire doesn't go all the way through the connector. This can be annoying because you can't hold it in place while crimping the connector, can only bring the wire in from one side, and are never REALLY sure it's far enough in until you finish and give it a tug (lol).

These have incompletely molded stops, meaning the smaller wire can go all the way through, a real advantage in my book.

Sometimes the knock offs actually ARE better!
