Three new N scale kits from Briggs models.

Who was looking for N scale M640 kits? Everyone needs a 4744 on their CP layout! This body shell kit builds into a model of CP Rail 4744 M640. You need to supply an N scale Atlas C630 or C628 chassis. The kit also includes the correct wheelbase Dofasco truck conversion kit. NK58 $120 Canadian.

PGE 52’6”gondola dreadnought fixed end replacement sets are available at $10 per set. Each set will do one car.  You will need to supply an N scale Rapido/Prairie Shadows 52'6" gondola.  Part Number NP32.

Woodchip car extension kits are available at $20 each. The kit is designed to fit the Rapido/Prairie Shadows 52'6" gondola. It has new correct ends and converts the car to a PGE Rebuilt chip car. Part number is NK69.

Those gon ends would have all sorts of applications...

Looking forward to the wood chip car conversions. CS Models did these ages ago but for the Concor gondola which is too short.

These will make awesome models

The Prairie Shadows gondolas are a decent stand in for ex LV Bethlehem built 52’ 6” fish belly 1745 cubic foot gondolas with drop ends, class GL51A.  This is the car Tangent does in HO.  The addition of the solid ends would make them good stand ins for Reading class GHm, Conrail class GR51E.  The biggest differences between the Prairie Shadows car and the Bethlehem car is the profile of the ribs.  Prairie Shadows announced a second run of these cars decorated for some American roads back in the 2013 or 2014 Amhearst show.  They even had Conrail artwork drawn up, which was incorrect.  I suggested the closest Conrail class, GL51A, and proper road numbers and graphics.  Not sure why they were never done.  Thanks.

Very excited to see these released!

The Prairie Shadows/Rapido gondola represents the drop end cars built for CN and CP by National Steel Car during the 1950s - 52'-6" with Z channel stiffeners.  Unfortunately they did not offer the fixed end version operated by PGE/BCR, so Jeff's ends solves that omission.

The chip car extension kit represents the sixty cars converted by PGE in 1961-19621.  CP undertook similar conversions.
