Temple Texas Train Show 9/19/2020

Went down and had a good time at the show and doing some rail fanning. Pics are of the show and the Centra Tex HO and N scale layouts. Thank you to all that made the show happen and put in the work.

Show was small, with only one NTrak layout, a couple TTrak, one well done HO, one Lionel, and a couple smaller Nscale ones.

Vendors were nice, prices were fair, and almost everyone seemed to be happy to be there (although I couldn’t see the smiles behind the masks). Didn’t spend any money even though was tempted to.

Dang, ton of pics!  Thanks for sharing.   Looks like a good day.  I don't think there were that many trains at OKC last year.

In the past I attended this show.  This year I just could not do it.  I  have been avoiding all crowds.

Also went to the show today got there at 9:30 and a line was forming, per operators 40 less tables that normal, but had great vendors, spent way too much money but had a great time. Needed to get out of the house, and go to a train show, it was fantastic, thank you Centra-Mod club for hosting. The northbound Texas Eagle was running 2 1/2 hours late?? so we got to go to the show then ate lunch and still got to see Amtrak at the Temple depot. Also someone from Centra-Mod was down at the Moody Depot and was running trains, so we got to see the layouts inside, great because i have not been inside for a while. Trip up and back from Houston saw 12 trains, from start to finish it was a GREAT 14 1/2 hour TRAIN DAY!!!! WooHoo!!!!

I’m jealous, haven’t been to a train show since late last Winter, really miss them.

Ron, thanks for sharing your excellent photos!  I miss the Fall train shows, with fewer venues and now Covid.  Since I am high risk (age plus intermittent asthma), I will also miss the Janurary 2021 Plano TX show.  Looking forward to the return of normal times.
